BASEBALL: Junior Cats win 3-2 over Cabool

Submitted by Harv Antle

The JV Baseball Wildcats split a pair of home games last week, losing to Dixon on Monday and defeating Cabool on Tuesday.

Runs were at a premium against Dixon. The JV Cats were unable to find a way to dent home plate and lost 3-0.

Hunter Krewson pitched well but took the loss. Wilson Murray, Krewson, and Landon Medlock all collected a base hit in the loss.

The JV Cats bounced back with a 3-2 victory over the Cabool Bulldogs. The win improved Licking to 8-4 for the spring.

Levi Cantrell went the distance on the mound for the win.  The sophomore permitted two runs on three hits while walking two and striking out three.

Hunter Krewson reached base twice and scored two runs to lead the offense. Wilson Murray smacked an RBI double and drove in another, and Easton Ice singled in a run.
