Donald Eugene Van Note age 81, the son of Lyle and Delma (Shryock) Van Note was born August 31, 1936 in Bucyrus, MO. He passed away April 10, 2018 in Springfield, MO.

Don attended grade school in the White Rock Country Grade School. His parents and family moved to Council Grove, Kansas where he graduated from high school. Don decided to join the Air Force in 1955, serving until 1959.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Linda.

He is survived by his brother Lee; four sisters, Peggy, Marjorie, Mary Bell, and Dorothy.

Don had several occupations in his civilian life. He became a member of the Iron Workers Union and stayed a member until his retirement age. After retirement he operated several small vehicle detailing shops and his final employment was as a Taxi driver in Springfield, MO.

He will be missed by family and friends.

No services are planned at this time.

Per Mr. Van Notes request his body was cremated.

Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home
