Thomas W. Watts, age 64, son of Thomas O. Watts and Charlotte C. “Dolly” (Brown) Watts, was born on December 6, 1953 in East St. Louis, IL; he passed away April 21, 2018 at Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston, MO.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Eddie and Joyce Austin; a stepdaughter, Tabitha Spiroff and a brother-in-law, Al Cline.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (nee Austin); one daughter, Kristy (Darin) Butcher; two sons, Kevin (Maria) Watts and T.C. (Katie) Watts; one stepdaughter, Kat Spiroff; grandchildren, Jessie Glover, Donnie Gray, Keegan Butcher, Kandra Butcher, Kody Watts, Chase Watts, Kiley Watts, Aden Foster, Corey Watts and Madalyn Watts; and sisters, Lola Cline, Diana Logan, and Barbara (Larry) Cole.
Thomas grew up in Caseyville, IL and graduated from Collinsville High School. He served in the U.S. Army.
He married Janet Watts on November 7, 1992.
Thomas served many communities as a police officer including Washington Park, Caseyville, Pontoon Beach, Smithton and Freeburg, IL.
He loved spending time with his dogs, Dolly and Rocky. He also enjoyed fishing, shooting, hunting, riding four wheelers, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Saturday April 28, 2018 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Evans Funeral Home with Services beginning at 11:00 AM in the Chapel with Donnie Hill officiating. Inurnment with Full Military Honors will be Saturday May 5, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
