The St. James Lady Tigers came to town on November 20th to face off with the Lady Cats in a matchup of top 10 teams. St James struck first with two easy baskets off defensive miscues, but Licking regrouped quickly and ran off 14 unanswered points, sparked by back-to-back threes by senior Lainy Hadix and two quick buckets by freshman Kiley Ingram. St. James did manage to make a late three of their own for a first quarter score of 14-7.
The second quarter was a stalemate as each team scored eight points. The Lady Cats headed into the locker room up 22-15.

“This is a huge win for the program. St. James has had our number in recent years and we finally got over the hump. We matched their physical play with physical play of our own. We had nine girls contribute to this victory. I love how much pride the girls are taking in their defense and rebounding. It will pay off in a few months.”
