Lillian Mae Vaughan

     Lillian Mae Vaughan, age 83, passed away December 24, 2018 at the University Hospital, Columbia, MO. She was born December 28, 1934 in Texas County, MO to Charley and Okla (Cassidy) Hildebrand.
     Lillian grew up in the Plato-Roby area. She attended school in Plato and graduated from Plato High School. After graduation she married Lloyd Junior Bates, to this union two children were born, Lloyd and Linda. In later years there were two other marriages, Leslie Brashear of West Plains, MO and Leroy Vaughan of Plato, MO.
     She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ethmer and Gary Hildebrand, a sister, Anna Marie Parks, her son, Lloyd Bates and her spouses, Lloyd Bates, Leslie Brashear and Leroy Vaughan, and a great-grandson, Liam Dickerson.
     Lillian is survived by her daughter, Linda Conley and husband Wayne of Plato, MO; a daughter-in-law, Nina Kimrey; four grandchildren, Daniel Conley, Christopher Conley, Bryan Bates and Heather Dickerson; seven great-grandchildren, Casey Conley, Zachery Dickerson, Zoe Dickerson, Kelly Conley, Shelby Conley, Adaline Bates and Macee Dickerson; two brothers, Joe and Jim Hildebrand; four sisters, Hazel Huff, Wilma Zook, Eula Wade and Reba Lane.
     Lillian had various jobs over the years and was an Avon distributor for many years, which she loved and made many lifelong friends. She was very active in the American Legion of Roby, MO and was also involved in many community services. Lillian was very active in her church she attended in West Plains, MO.
     She loved to dance, sing and laugh. She had a great love of people and her family. Lillian was much loved and will be missed so very much.
     The family suggests donations to Palace Cemetery in lieu of flowers. To express online condolences go to www.evansfh.com.
     Services were held Monday December 31, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Evans Funeral Home with Eugene Earp officiating. Burial was in Palace Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Casey Conley, Chris Conley, Carl Lane, Kyle Hildebrand, Allen Russell, Terry Hildebrand, Leroy Hildebrand and Aaron Zook.
