The Panthers heated up in the third period and cut into Licking’s lead early.  The Wildcats took advantage of a favorable matchup inside with James Swan to regain their 13 point lead by the time the period ended, and Licking led 53-40 entering the final frame. Grove began trying to force turnovers, but Licking was solid enough to run some time off of the clock and hold on for a 62-45 win.
Licking had a very balanced scoring attack led by G.T. Nicholson with 15 points, followed by James Swan with 12, Kaden Quick 12, Michael Milhizer 12, Carter Rinne 5, Garrett Duncan 4 and Wilson Murray 2. Connor Medlock and Evan Mitchell also saw playing time. The win put Licking’s record 13-1 on the season.
