New factory opening in Licking

By Shari Harris,

DARD Products, Home of Tagmaster, is moving into the Licking factory facility on Hwy. 32 East. DARD is a supplier of promotional products that companies use for advertising. This would be the type of products that are frequently given away in offices and at events, such as mugs, pens, t-shirts, phone accessories, and more.
Chief Operating Officer Scott Morrison, who owned TAG Team Uniforms, is familiar with the Licking factory site and is optimistic that the workforce available in the Licking area will be supportive of DARD’s new venture. According to Renee Keaton, City Administrator/Clerk, “They sought us out due to knowledge of the facilities and knowing that it was now vacant.”
Morrison indicated the company would hire 12 to 15 local employees initially, with plans to move up to 40 employees by late Summer 2019. Additionally, one to two employees will be moving to Licking from the Chicago factory. As of Thursday, Jan. 24th, six truckloads had been delivered from their factory in Chicago, with six more truckloads expected. The plan is to begin operation no earlier than February 11, 2019, and no later than March 1.
Applications for DARD employment are currently available at Licking City Hall, Main Street, Licking, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Morrison stated that the jobs vary, from technical machine operators to customer service and administrative positions.
“It is definitely a great thing to have new jobs coming in – we are excited,” says Keaton.
Scott Palmberg is the Chief Executive Officer and owner of DARD. DARD Products ( is a member of the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI).  They currently have facilities in Illinois and Texas.
