Cleda Lavada Shultz

  Cleda Lavada Shultz of Rolla passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the age of 88. Cleda was born on May 2, 1930 in Yukon, Mo. to the late Vernon and Gertha (Williams) Medlock.
  Cleda was married to Lloyd Vernon Shultz on June 15, 1968. Cleda and Lloyd spent thirty-nine wonderful years together before his passing on December 7, 2007.
  Cleda enjoyed her family and cherished the time she spent with them, whether it was baking, making candy, or joining in a little competitive fun at card games, dominos, or checkers. Cleda was very musically inclined and was a talented vocalist and yodeler. She could play the harmonica and guitar. Cleda was always very particular when going out of the house, a great shopper; she was always classy and dressed to the nines. She enjoyed Cardinal baseball, spending time with her family and her cats; she was the best “cat mom” to Bootsy, Tatter, Squeaky and Prince. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
  Cleda is survived by daughters, Donna (David) Hudson of Rolla, and Kathy Laughney of Fenton; son-in-law, Mike Wooten of Rolla; grandchildren, Sherry (Chuck) Cantrell of St. James, Tonya (Don) Adams of Rolla, Kevon Foy of Potosi, Tommy Forester of Rolla, Cody Hudson of Rolla, and John Laughney of Fenton; great-grandchildren Cassidy Cantrell, Lauren Adams, Landon Adams, Emma-Lee Forester, Kelsey Hope, Alessandra Foy, Brendan Foy, Kaitlyn Laughney, Jackson Laughney, John “Buddy” Laughney III, Charlotte Laughney and Elijah Laughney; sisters, Anna (Ed) Yarber of Birchtree, Shirley (Kenny) Ferell of Licking, and Sandra (Gary) Dunigan of Licking; brothers, James (Velma) Medlock of Kentucky, Eugene (Carolyn) Medlock of Lamonte, Okla., Ervin (Nancy) Medlock of Success, Mike (Cindy) Medlock of Cuba, and Scott Medlock of Plato.
  In addition to her parents and husband, Cleda was preceded in death by her step-father, W.E. Bogart; daughter, Joyce Henson-Wooten; grandson, Ronnie Greg Henson; great-granddaughter, Brittany Snelson; sons-in-law, Dale Foy, Jack Laughney and Randy Carter; sister, Ruby Medlock; brothers, Roscoe, Gilbert and Denny Medlock.
  Funeral services for Cleda Shultz will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Rolla Chapel of the James and Gahr Mortuary, Rolla, Mo. with Pastor Chuck Whitmire officiating. Interment will be at the Ozark Cemetery, Houston, Mo. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, at the Rolla Chapel of the James and Gahr Mortuary, Rolla, Mo.
