Cupid made an early appearance at the Licking Senior Center, Sat. Feb. 9. sharing candy hearts. The Valentine Sweetheart Dinner was hosted from 4 – 6 p.m. with beautiful decorations and table settings, a delicious meal and fun entertainment provided by Herman Hall.
Wilbur and Debbie Turner, from Roby, were crowned the new king and queen by Don and Dorothy Lotz, the previous king and queen. It was a truly special day for the Turner’s as they were also celebrating their twelfth wedding anniversary on Saturday.
Dinner included stuffed chicken breast, tossed salad, baked potato, green beans and a roll, with cupcakes or cheesecake as choices for dessert. Five students from LHS, Connor Medlock, Cliff Hawn, Reece Derrickson,  Michael Milhizer and Anjeni Morrell were servers for the event and did an excellent job, according to Cynthia Wampner, Center Director.
Approximately 105 sweethearts attended the festivities.
