IECA Board selects new CEO

Submitted

After a thorough search for a new CEO, IECA’s Board of Directors recently announced their selection of Doug Lane to lead the organization. Lane has been with the co-op for the past 12 years, serving IECA’s members and employees as Director of Safety and Facilities and most recently, as the Director of Operations. He has received both his Management Internship Program and Certified Loss Control Professional credentials during his time with the co-ops. Prior to coming to IECA in 2007, Lane spent 26 years at Clay County Electric Cooperative in Arkansas. Like many co-op employees, Lane started out on the Right-of-Way and worked his way up from the brush crew to a lineman, staking engineer and eventually Operations Manager.
Lane began his new duties at IECA on Mon., March 4. At that time, Susan Parish, who has filled in as interim CEO, was appointed to Assistant CEO and will aide Lane during his transition.
Board President Jim White, speaking on behalf of the board of directors, commended Susan Parish and IECA’s staff on their abilities and seamless management changes since the departure of Aaron Bradshaw last August, who left to fill the CEO position at Co-Mo Electric in Tipton. White concluded, “The board is looking forward to having Doug lead Intercounty’s outstanding team who work to keep the lights on for our cooperative members every day.”
Intercounty is one of the largest cooperatives in Missouri with over 5,600 miles of line and approximately 30,000 meters.
