LRFD serves up firefighter chili

Many showed up to have supper and visit at the LRFD Chili Supper and Auction.

  The Licking Rural Fire Department held its annual Chili Supper and Auction Saturday evening. The busy volunteer firefighters, auxiliary, wives and volunteers served hungry attendees. The LRFD collected approximately $1450, and are still receiving and accepting donations.

Serving the chili and soup were from back left: Jimmy Sherrill, LRFD Fire Chief, 
Matthew Gale, Quinton Trout and Lucas Green.
  Firefighter chili or vegetable soup, assorted fresh vegetables, cheeses and cornbread were part of the menu. Drinks were furnished as well as a delicious assortment of desserts. All comments were positive and Fox Fire Hall smelled great!

Greeting attendees at the door and accepting payment were from left: Jessica Sonsoucie and Christina Potts, wives of volunteer firefighters.
  Items in the 6 p.m. auction included gift certificates, fishing lures, bracelets, shirts, a lantern set, leather work gloves, pool passes, books, hoodies, pictures, signs, a gun holster, cutting boards, a wooden cross and a handmade coat rack, all items generously donated by area businesses.

Available for the new Reflective Sign orders were from left: Dylan Case and Ernie Brilhart, volunteer firefighters and Corinne Benson, volunteer auxiliary.
