Sexual Offense Investigation
On April 2, 2019, a Texas County deputy began an investigation into allegations of Statutory Sodomy in response to a report received from the Missouri Dept. of Social Services Children’s Division and the Cabool Police Department. The report alleged that a juvenile female victim stated a 56-year-old male had sexual contact with her when she was 9-years-old at a residence in the Cabool area. On April 17, the suspect, James Hansen, was arrested by a Texas County Deputy and transported to the Texas County Jail.
James E. Hansen, age 56, of Mtn. Grove was charged by Asst. Texas County Prosecuting Attorney Jason Macpherson with Statutory Sodomy first degree. Hansen is being held in the Texas County Jail pending $500,000 bond.
The above charges are mere accusations are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
