Texas County Drug Arrest

On the evening of April 9, Texas County deputies initiated a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Impala with expired registration on Reed Road in the Licking area. The driver was identified as Brandy R. Dewolfe. Dewolfe was operating the vehicle with a revoked drivers license. Dewolfe admitted to being in possession of marijuana and removed a plastic bag from his pocket. Deputies observed that the bag actually contained a powder like substance with crystals in it. The substance field-tested positive for Methamphetamine. Drug paraphernalia was also located in the vehicle.
Brandy R. Dewolfe, age 41, of (Mtn. View), was charged by Assistant Texas County Prosecuting Attorney Jason Macpherson with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, driving while revoked prior offender, and three other traffic violations. Dewolfe is being held in the Texas County Jail pending $50,000.00 bond.
The above charges are mere accusations are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
