The Licking High School Track team competed last Tuesday at the Salem Invitational. Both the boys’ and the girls’ team placed third. Members of the team placing in the top three and medaling were Tomi Rose second place 200m Dash with a time of 28.02 and second place Long Jump with a distance 13’7”; Kelly Lewis third place High Jump clearing 4’10”, and third place Triple Jump with a distance of 30’8”; Abagail Moncrief second place girls’ Discus with a distance of 92’5”, and third place girls’ Shot Put with a distance of 31’11.5”; Maggie Cline first place 100m Hurdles with a time of 18.03, and second place 300m Hurdles with a time of 51.08; Keegan Black first place 800m Run with a time of 2:13.90, and first place 1600m Run with a time of 4:48.10; Tyler Chambers third place 300m Hurdles with a time of 45.72; Josh Lilly first place Pole Vault setting an new school record clearing 13’3”; second place Seth Overall clearing a height of 12’0”. Relays teams placing in the top three and medaling were the girls’ 4x100m relay team placed third with a time of 55.4 members with Maggie Cline, Kelly Lewis, Winter Murray, and Tomi Rose, second place girls’ 4x200m relay team with a time 1:58.14 members were Abby Cole, Maggie Cline, Tomi Rose and Winter Murray. The boys’ 4x200m relay team placed third with a time of 1:39.69, members were Kasen Monds, Tyler Chambers, Josh Lilly and Eli Keeney; and the boys’ 4x400m relay team placed first with a time of 3:41.93, members were Tyler Chambers, Josh Lilly, Kasen Monds, and Keegan Black. The teams will continue in competition this week on Thursday at the Waynesville Invitational.
