The Licking Softball team had a busy week to start April. On Monday the Wildcats hosted Liberty. Led by Camryn Clayton with 3 hits, 4 RBI’s and 4 runs scored, the Wildcats got their first win of the season with a 17-7 victory. On Tuesday night we traveled to Bourbon and were unable to keep the bats hot, picking up a loss. Thursday and Friday nights were rain-outs so we made up for it on Saturday. Saturday morning in the Plato tournament, Kyra Taylor picked up her second win as the Wildcats beat Niangua 15-3. We fell to Stoutland in the second game of the day. Our third game was against Conway, where we played a tight contest with a 1-1 game through the 4th, where Conway picked up a run, putting them up 2 to 1. Conway scored three more in the 5th and one in the 6th, putting them up 6-1. The Wildcats tried to rally back but were only able to score one more run, dropping the contest 6-2.
