Submitted by Sheriff Scott K. Lindsey (scott.lindsey200@gmail.com)

On May 7, 2019, a Texas County deputy responded to a residence on Elder Springs Road in the Plato area for a domestic disturbance. Upon arriving at the residence the deputy observed a male with several lacerations on his face. The apparent victim reported he had been struck by his brother with a coffee cup and fist multiple times. The suspect was identified as Jack Richardson. Richardson admitted to being in a fight with his brother and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Richardson was arrested and transported to the Texas County Jail.
Jack M. Richardson, age 63, of Plato, was charged by Assistant Texas County Prosecuting Attorney Jason Macpherson with Domestic Assault Second Degree. Richardson is being held in the Texas County Jail pending $150,000 bond.
The above charges are mere accusations are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
