Child Sexual Abuse Investigation
Submitted by Sheriff Scott K. Lindsey
On May 20, the Texas County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation based on a report of an allegation of sexual abuse from the Mo. Dept. of Social Services Children’s Division. A Texas County Deputy and Children’s Division investigator contacted the reported victim, an 11-year-old female. After contact with the victim a forensic interview was scheduled with the victim at the South-Central Child Advocacy Center.
In response to information developed during the investigation and forensic interview, Texas County deputies arrested Ryan Blazier on May 22. Blazier was transported to the Texas County Jail. During an interview with Blazier, he admitted to having sexual contact with the victim multiple times at a residence on Cooper Dr. in Texas County.
Ryan L. Blazier, age 35, of Licking, was charged by Asst. Texas County Prosecuting Attorney Jason Macpherson with three counts of  Child Molestation First Degree (Class A Felony) and Statutory Sodomy. Blazier is being held in the Texas County Jail with a bond of $1,000,000.

The above charges are mere accusations are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
