Drug Arrests

On May 7, 2019, a Texas County deputy on patrol initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Hwy. B in Raymondville. The driver was identified as Michael Vice. A records check on Vice indicated his driver’s license was revoked. Vice was taken into custody and deputies observed drug paraphernalia in the car. Two female passengers were identified as Kellee Letterman and Stephanie Shook-Sheets. During a further search of the vehicle more drug paraphernalia was discovered along with a bag containing a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. The subjects were arrested and transported to the Texas County Jail.

Michael I. Vice, age 51, of Salem, was booked and released for driving while revoked and possession of a controlled substance. Kellee M. Letterman, age 37, of Springfield, was booked and released for possession of controlled substance. Stephanie R. Shook-Sheets, age 28, of Salem, was booked and released for possession of controlled substance. The suspected methamphetamine will be sent to the crime laboratory for confirmation and probable cause statements will also be sent to the Texas County Prosecuting Attorney seeking formal charges.
The above charges are mere accusations are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
