Domestic Assault Arrest

Domestic Assault Arrest
Submitted by Sheriff Scott K. Lindsey
On May 28, 2019, Texas County deputies responded to a report of domestic disturbance on Lundy Road. Upon arriving at the scene, a male subject reported being struck in the head by another male armed with a shovel. The victim sought shelter inside a camper where he resides with the suspect and his sister. The suspect, later identified as Brian Fisher, then began to strike the side of the camper with the shovel and break out windows. The female contacted 911 as Fisher continued to attempt to gain access to the camper. While deputies were attempting to provide assistance to the victim, Fisher produced a knife and threatened harm to himself.  Fisher refused deputies’ instructions to drop the knife and a Taser was deployed, temporarily restraining Fisher and allowing deputies to take him into custody. The victim of the initial assault was transported to Texas County Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Brian K. Fisher was arrested and transported for medical treatment and then transferred to the Texas County Jail. Fisher, age 49, of Houston, was charged by Assistant Texas County Prosecuting Attorney James Weber with Domestic Assault First Degree (Class A Felony), Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Resisting Arrest. Fisher is being held in the Texas County Jail without bond.

The above charges are mere accusations are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
