Milhizer pitched eight strike-outs, walked two, and allowed three hits in a shutout 11-0 win against Mtn. View-Liberty Tuesday night.

LICKING — The Licking Wildcats shut out the Mtn. View Liberty Eagles 11-0 on Tuesday night in Licking.
Michael Milhizer turned in the complete game for the Wildcats. The senior right-hander allowed three hits, struck out eight, and walked two while improving to 2-0 on the spring.
Following two scoreless frames, Licking struck quickly in the bottom of the third. Reece Derrickson led off with a walk, Hunter Krewson bunted for a single, and Gideon Antle plated both runners with a double to the base of the wall in left center.
Carter Rinne followed with an RBI double of his own. Easton Ice completed the scoring later in the inning with a groundout to score Rinne.
Licking kept the offense clicking in the fourth with a seven-run outburst to push the lead to double figures. “After a slow start, we were able to string together some good at bats that included several clutch two-out hits,” commented Licking coach Harv Antle.
Licking’s run production came on the strength of nine hits, three walks, and two Eagle errors. Antle finished the game 2-for-2 with three RBIs, Rinne went 2-for-3 with two runs batted in, Seth Farris chipped in with an RBI single, Ice knocked in two runs as did Connor Medlock, and Hunter Krewson collected two hits in two trips to the plate.
The win was the seventh in a row for Licking. The Wildcats improved to 11-3 overall.

 The JV Wildcats dropped an 8-2 decision to Liberty. Easton Ice started, worked the first four innings on the mound, and was saddled with the loss.
Wilson Murray stroked an RBI double for the JV ‘Cats, Landon Medlock was 1-for-3, Kaiden Wantland and Evan Cady each scored once in a losing cause. The loss left the JV at 3-5 on the spring.
