Drug Arrest

Drug Arrest
Submitted by Sheriff Scott Lindsey
On June 25, at approximately 7:52 p.m., Texas County deputies were dispatched to Stack Rd. in the Cabool area for a report of a person making threats.  Upon arriving at the residence a male and female subject reported another male (later identified as Billy Mooneyhan) had made threats to shoot the male or himself. The reporting subjects stated Mooneyhan had fled the residence into a wooded area prior to the arrival of deputies. Deputies searched the area, located Mooneyhan and detained him. A search of a camper where Mooneyhan was residing led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia and a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Mooneyhan was arrested and transported to the Texas County Jail.
Asst. Texas County Prosecuting Attorney Jason Macpherson charged Billy W. Mooneyhan, age 28, of Cabool with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and peace disturbance. Mooneyhan is held in the Texas County Jail pending $25,000 bond.

The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
