Drug/Warrant Arrest

Submitted by Sheriff Scott K. Lindsey

On July 2 at approximately 12:45 a.m., Texas County deputies were dispatched to Orchard Street in Raymondville for a disturbance. A female subject reported having an argument with her brother who was identified as Brandy Dewolfe. A record’s check on Dewolfe indicated he had warrants for his arrest charging him with resisting arrest. Dewolfe fled into a wooded area behind the residence as deputies arrived. After a search of the area Dewolfe was located. Dewolfe requested the arresting deputy remove a bag containing his property from the residence. A search of the bag revealed a drug paraphernalia containing a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Dewolfe was arrested on the warrants, possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
Dewolfe was transported to the Texas County Jail where he was held without bond pending a court appearance.
The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
