Margaret L. Kiser
Margaret L Kiser, of Waynesville, Mo., passed away in her home
on August 27, 2019. She was born August 31, 1934, to John Paul and
Jessie Doris (Holmes) Hancock at Roubidoux, Mo., in
the Upton Township.
Margie graduated from Houston High School in 1952 and married
Melvin L. Kiser on June 1, 1952. They were married twenty-four
years. From that union four children were born: Steve, Marsha, Mike, and
Calvin. They lived in Success for several years. Margie worked at Ft.
Leonard Wood from 1968 until 1995 as a Post Exchange supervisor. Her
passion was embroidery and making quilts. She helped with the care of her
parents after her retirement, and then lived again at the old home place at
Roubidoux.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin L. Kiser; her parents;
two brothers, Donald and Jerry Hancock, and one son, Calvin L. Kiser.
Margie is survived by three children, Steve A. Kiser of Dayton, Tenn., Marsha
Kiser of Ecuador, and Michael Kiser of Waynesville; three brothers, Ervin
and wife, LaNelle Shelby Hancock of Peck, Kan., Ralph and wife, Claudia Hancock
of Beaverton, Ore., and Kenneth Hancock of Frederick, Colo.; and many
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Liberty Cemetery. Online condolences may be

Services were held Friday, August 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Evans Funeral Home
with George Peterson and Greg Mynear officiating. Burial was in Liberty
Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Jason
Kiser, Matt Kiser, Caleb Christiansen, Eric Christiansen, Kenny Lambeth and
Calvin Penland. Honorary pallbearers were: PJ Kiser and Dean Harrison.
