William David Walker

William David Walker, 87, of Licking, passed away August 13, 2019 at Hickory Manor. Born on September 18, 1931, Bill was the son of Donald W. and Dessie L. (McWilliams) Walker.
Bill graduated from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1952. He served his country in the United States Army Medical Unit as a Pharmacy Specialist from 1953-1955. He moved to Rolla in 1955 and worked at a local pharmacy. There he met, Cleo Genevieve Denton. They were married on August 12, 1956 at the Ridgeview Church in Rolla. They moved to Licking where Bill worked as the Pharmacist alongside Dr. B.J. Myers in his office. Bill was recognized by the State of Missouri for being a Pharmacist for over 50 years and retained his license for over 55 years. He was the President of the Licking Chamber of Commerce in 1964 and served on the Town & Country Bank Board for over 10 years. Bill had a passion for automobiles, airplanes, and all things mechanical.
Bill is survived by his sons, John Walker and wife, Tracy of Rolla and David Walker and Wendy of Licking; five grandchildren, Zachary Walker and wife, Stephanie, Nicholas Zappa, Dakota King, Anna Grace Walker, and Ava May Walker; and two great grandchildren, Jase and Emryn Walker. He is preceded in death by his wife, Cleo Walker.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 12 p.m. – 2p.m. at Fox Funeral Home, 128 S. Main St., Licking.  Graveside services immediately followed at the Licking Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Gary Carter. Pallbearers were Dr. David Myers, Kent Nichols, Mike Smith, Roger Mayfield, Nick Zappa, and Zach Walker.  Arrangements entrusted to Fox Funeral Home.
