Thursday, the Lady ‘Cats headed east to take on long-time rival Salem. The Tigers were no match for the Wildcats, with Licking displaying consistency in their play against Salem and winning in two matches. The Lady ‘Cats took an early and large lead in the first set, scoring twelve unanswered points before the Tigers were able to get on the board. Salem lost ground early in the second set as well, and wasn’t able to score more than two points consecutively throughout the set. The Lady ‘Cats rolled to a 25-9 win to take the match.
The Junior Varsity was equally successful against Salem. They won their first set handily, 25-19, but had their fans on the edge of their seats in the second set, with the final score of 26-24.
