PLATO —The Licking Wildcats advanced to the semifinals of the Frisco League Tournament on Tuesday night at Plato with a 16-0 victory over the Stoutland Tigers.
Easton Ice started and worked the first three innings for the win. The Wildcat lefty fanned three and allowed two hits while keeping Stoutland scoreless.
Wilson Murray added a shutout inning in the fourth and fanned two. The win lifted Licking to 17-5 on the fall.
The Wildcats scored a pair of runs in the first and three in the second to take control of the game. After coming up empty in the third, Licking ended the game with an 11-run fourth.
The final blow came from Ice when he went deep with a man on over the wall in right. Licking racked up nine hits in the contest.
Malachi Antle was 3-for-3 with a triple and three runs scored for Licking. Cole Wallace had a big night with two doubles and 5 RBIs, Gideon Antle went 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs, Ice homered and drove in three, and Keyton Rinne reached base twice and scored two runs.
PLATO – On Saturday, the Licking Wildcats advanced to the championship game of the Frisco League Tournament with a 15-0 win over the Newburg Wolves.
 Licking struck early with nine runs in the first. The Wildcats added to their lead with three more runs in the second, one, in the third, and ended the game on the run rule with two tallies in the fourth.
The win improved Licking’s fall record to 18-5 and sent the Wildcats to Monday night’s championship game against the Iberia Rangers. Iberia advanced with a 4-2 victory over Dixon in the other semifinal contest.

Levi Cantrell was Saturday’s starter and winning pitcher for Licking as he upped his record to four wins against no losses. The senior tossed three innings of scoreless ball, scattered three hits, fanned five, and did not walk a batter.
Offensively for Licking, Malachi Antle was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs. Cole Wallace scored four times on a 2-for-4 day, Gideon Antle tripled and drove in a run, Easton Ice singled and knocked in a run, Seth Farris singled and scored twice, Wilson Murray tripled and scored a run, Keyton Rinne scored a pair of runs, and Kaiden Wantland was 1-for-2 with an RBI and run scored.
PLATO — The Licking Wildcats finished the fall season as runner up in the Frisco League Tournament by virtue of an 11-3 loss to the Iberia Rangers on Monday night in Plato.
Wilson Murray suffered the loss. Murray exited in the third and was charged with three runs on four hits and two walks.
Seth Farris followed Murray to the mound and allowed three runs on two hits and a walk over one and two-thirds innings. Cole Wallace gave up five runs, two earned, over two and a third, and Levi Cantrell pitched a scoreless two-thirds of an inning.
Licking scored its three runs on eight hits but committed four errors. Malachi Antle led the Wildcats at the plate with a 3-for-4 night.
Cole Wallace was 1-for-2, Easton Ice went 2-for-3, Levi Cantrell doubled in a run, and Kaiden Wantland was 1-for-3 for Licking.
“It’s disappointing that we didn’t play our best,” said Licking coach Harv Antle. “However, our guys had a great season and with the youth of many of our starters, we’re only going to get better.”
Licking finishes the fall with a record of 18-6. The spring season begins in March.
