Licking Residential Care participated in the Missouri Health Care Association’s District IV 24th Annual Golden Age Games in Mtn. Grove Friday, Oct. 18. Five residents attended the games and another two sent items to be entered in the events.
The day started with registration, team photos and an opening ceremony. Morning events included the judging of the Arts and Crafts Competition and competitions in Cow Milking, Bingo, Basketball Toss and Hog Calling. Entertainment was provided during the lunch break.
After lunch, the day wrapped up with the Horseshoe Toss, Quiz Bowl, Soccer Kick and Wheelchair Race, then participants gathered for the closing ceremony. Licking Residential Care Activity Director Haley Floyd-Joyner commented, “Everyone had a fun-filled day.”
Joyner, Belinda Ethridge and Jessica Hildebrand accompanied the Licking team as drivers, helpers and, of course, the cheerleading squad!
Mary Bolton won first place in the Basketball Throw competition and second place in Embroidery. Fairy Stone won third place and Imogene Jones won fourth place in Embroidery. Betty Gaino won third place and Judy Crafford won fourth place in Paintings/Artwork.

Sponsors of the Licking team, whom Licking Residential Care appreciates very much, included Silver Sponsor Kohl Wholesale and Bronze Sponsor Evans Funeral Home.
