Obituary - Kyle D. Tarpley

Kyle Duane Tarpley, age 60, of Elk Creek, Mo., passed away on Oct. 5, 2019. He was born at St. Anthony Hospital of Michigan City, Ind., to Richard and Carol Tarpley.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Tarpley, in December of 2018. Surviving him in death are his parents, Richard and Carol Tarpley of Houston, Mo.; one brother, Glen Tarpley of Houston, Mo.; and one sister, Cheryl Strom and brother-in-law, Mathew Strom of Licking, Mo.; two daughters, Jamie Thode of Laporte, Ind., and Danielle Tarpley of Berrien Center, Mich.; along with one son, Jason Tarpley of Michigan City, Ind.; and one step-son, Steven Rightsell of Michigan City, Ind.; also many grand and great-grandchildren; along with two nieces, Sarah Tarpley, and Alexandra Caldwell of Licking, Mo.
Kyle was a graduate from the University of Phoenix in 2013. He worked at Durham Company where he retired as the supervisor of the Maintenance Department. Kyle attended St. Marks Catholic Church in Houston, Mo., when his health allowed. Kyle achieved many accomplishments in his life, along with a service award for his dedication to the Tyrone Fire department, where he worked as a volunteer. Kyle had many talents and interests; he loved to learn. He loved to go dart shooting, camping, shopping, traveling, and visiting theme parks with his family; he was a real thrill seeker. He loved to make life fun. He will be missed for his loving and caring personality that always brightened everyone’s lives. He will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure to get to know him.
The family is hosting a Celebration of Life, Friday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Marks Catholic Church, Houston, Mo., with Father Roy officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
