“Moonlight Muse” Original India Ink Painting on Clayboard Panel, 18” x 24” by local artist Gary Duncan.

Each year, during the month of November, Arts Rolla hosts a juried art show at The Centre in Rolla. Several local artists won awards. Sophia DeLaat won third place with a carved gourd titled "Beauty From Ashes" and an Honorable Mention for another gourd, "Conspiracy of Ravens". Ellen Reynolds received an Award of Excellence for an oil painting of a lighthouse called "Let There Be Light." After a month of voting by guests, Gary Duncan received the coveted People's Choice award for "Moonlight Muse" using a unique medium of India ink on Clayboard. Each of these artists are involved with the Texas County Museum of Art and History here in Licking and will be offering workshops in their expertise in the coming year.
