After eight games on the road to start the season the Licking Lady Wildcats hosted the (4-0) Steelville Lady Cardinals on Thursday night. Steelville is known for their 1-3-1 zone defense. Licking used good spacing and dribble penetration to get quality shots all night. Licking scored first and never trailed in this one from tip to final buzzer. Licking led 29-16 at halftime, 40-25 after the third quarter and won 53-37. The win boosts the Lady Cats to 7-2 overall.

Tomi Rose takes a shot during the half-game against Steelville. Steelville stole the ball and took it down the court for a basket as time ran out, to win the contest.
“This is a good win to go into Xmas break as Steelville is heavily favored to win their district and see the winner of our district in the sectional round. We had a good all around effort from every girl that played tonight.” Coach Rissler
