The Phelps County R-III Christmas program, originally scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 17, was nearly doomed by the weather. But thanks to the sacrifice of personal plans by teachers, students and families, it was postponed two days instead of being canceled.
The change of plans did not appear to affect attendance, as the bleachers and seats were nearly full, with several choosing to stand near the entrance to view the show. Supt. John Fluhrer welcomed all and eighth grade student Emily Blake narrated the program.

Preschoolers dressed like Frosty to sing his song.
Preschool students were adorable in their snowman garb as they performed “Frosty the Snowman.” Kindergarten and first grade classes joined together to perform “S-A-N-T-A” and “Up on the Housetop;” their animations were very entertaining.
