Seventh grade girls defeat Lebanon

Coach Kaylon Buckner

The 7th grade Lady Wildcats traveled to Lebanon on Friday, Dec. 6 to take on the Lady Yellowjackets. Again utilizing their strong full-court press and a balanced scoring attack, the Lady Cats came away with a decisive 38-8 victory. The game was never in doubt as Licking held an 8-1 advantage in the first quarter and stretched it to an 18-4 lead at half time then pulled away in the third and fourth quarters.  Lebanon had a size advantage inside, but Allie Hock, Ralee Clayton and Linzie Wallace did an excellent job playing defense and rebounding. Guards Aubrey Gorman, Josie Wells, Kinley Keaton, Allie Medlock, Halee Clayton and Zoey Dawson harassed the Yellowjacket ball handlers and forced multiple turnovers. Ralee Clayton led the way offensively with 11, Kinley Keaton scored 7, Zoey Dawson added 6, Allie Hock had 5 and Josie Wells added 4.
