The Lady ‘Cats finished their regular season Wednesday, Feb. 19, in Newburg, facing their long-time Frisco League rival, the Lady Wolves. The Wolves were no match for the Lady ‘Cats, who won with a decisive 73-29 score.
On Saturday, Licking entered the first round of Class 3, District 4 play at Mtn. Grove. Licking earned the first seed, so faced eighth seed Dixon, whom they had defeated less than a week earlier during the regular season. Saturday’s uneven score was similar to the previous game, with the Lady ‘Cats advancing in District play after an 84-32 win over the Dixon Lady Bulldogs.
The Lady ‘Cats are scheduled to play in round two of districts against Ava on Tuesday evening, Feb. 25. St. James is scheduled to play Mtn. View-Liberty Tuesday in the lower half of the bracket. The two winning teams will advance to the finals on Friday, Feb. 28, at 6 p.m.
