Connor McLeod puts up two
in the JV win over Crocker Tuesday night.

Last week the men of Licking basketball came away with two victories for the week. A win over conference opponent Crocker on Tuesday moved the men to a 3-1 record in conference play. Wilson Murray was the catalyst in the win, scoring 38 points for the Wildcats.
On Friday the men traveled to Salem to play the annual "Big Cat Classic." For the first time this season, the men put together a complete team defensive effort and won by a score of 45-36. It was probably the most exciting and hostile environment they have faced this year. Those types of environments are the way the game is supposed to be played. As coaches we enjoyed being part of it, the men were as excited as we have seen them since the season opener against Houston and the crowd was wild and fun. As a team they communicated and implemented the game plan we had for them defensively. They were patient on offense and minimized turnovers. It was a good thing to see as we move toward the finish in the conference race and district seeds. Wilson Murray led the Wildcats with 23 points in the victory.
