Narcotic Arrest

Officers with the Licking Police Department conducted a short-term narcotics investigation on March 6, 2020 at a residence located on Maple Crest Street. Contact was made with the tenant, Ronald K. Atkisson, age 54, of Licking, Missouri and consent to search the residence was obtained. During the course of the search, officers located a marijuana smoking device, two glass methamphetamine smoking devices, digital scales, a hand rolled marijuana cigarette, several small plastic baggies containing marijuana and several small plastic baggies containing methamphetamine.
Atkisson was released from the scene and a Probable Cause Statement has been sent to the Texas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office seeking the following charges:
1. Possession of Controlled Substance Except 35 grams or less of Marijuana, a class D Felony
2. Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a class D Misdemeanor
3. Possession of Marijuana, a class A Misdemeanor
The above information is just mere accusations and is not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of any charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
