The World Travel Club held a Super Hero 5K Run/Walk on Saturday with 14 runners, walkers, bicyclists and riders participating. All ages, including grandmothers to infants, made it a success. The 5K started and finished at the Licking High School track area where prizes were awarded.
The original 5K had to be rescheduled due to COVID-19, but the World Travel Club persisted by reorganizing the run as a fundraiser for the June 2021 EF Tour trip to Australia and New Zealand.
Georgia Merrick coordinated the fundraiser, with willing helpers. Three student travel club members were present, Millie Carver, Jordan Kinder and Matt Funk; with students, Makenna Skidmore and Dae Barker and new graduate, Samantha Wagner, not present. Kinder’s grandmother, Betty Hudson, directed the runners, keeping them on the right course.
