HOUSTON, Mo. (June 23, 2020) - Texas County is reporting a 3rd positive COVID-19 test.  Patient and close contacts are following public health guidance to help prevent the spread. The public health nurse contact tracing investigation indicates case is linked to a Howell County case. The potential community exposure locations from West Plains will be listed at https://www.facebook.com/Howell-County-Health-Department-170310842983730/
Texas County dates/time include Sunday, June 21 Licking church services approx. 9:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Church members with potential exposure from this location are being notified and advised to monitor for symptoms. One location in Dent County, Sunday June 21, Pizza Inn, Salem approx. 1 - 1:45 p.m.
Public notification of dates/times are made when a general public potential exposure (large number of “unknown” potential contacts cannot be identified). When we do not report these on a particular case it means there was NO travel outside the home within 48-hours prior to symptoms or a positive test.
Please keep in mind COVID-19 has been confirmed throughout the entire United States. You should presume every place or location has some potential for risk. Continue to practice basic preventative measures to help decrease your risk and the spread of COVID-19. These measures include: avoiding contact with people who are sick, covering coughs and sneezes, proper hand-washing, cleaning frequently used surfaces, and staying home when sick.
We highly encourage, if you suspect that you have COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, call your healthcare provider before you go so they can assist you in taking precautions before coming inside the office.
For anyone who wants to be tested at a community (drive through) test site there will be one this Saturday, June 27th at Mountain Grove, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Below is the link to register for the testing.
