Hayes Midtown has Grand Opening

Hayes Midtown Bar & Grill celebrated its grand opening Saturday evening, Aug. 8, with a free fish buffet and live music.

Fried fish, coleslaw and fried ‘taters were served beginning at 6 p.m. The fish was perfectly fried and delicious. By 8 p.m., the Dave Barton Band was ready to play, and drawing for door prizes began. Customers enjoyed keno, pool, visiting with friends, or specialty drinks. After 20 years of bartending experience, Bar Manager Eva Sullins says if she’s not heard of a drink, she’ll find out about it and make it.

Darrell and Amanda Hayes reopened the business, and plan to have live music two Saturday nights each month. Karaoke will be featured Thursday nights, along with ribeye steaks on the menu. Other menu specialties are Taco Tuesdays and Fish Fridays, along with daily lunch specials. Betty Vestal, Debbie Worlow and Travis Fudge round out the crew.

Hayes Midtown Bar & Grill is located on the corner of Green Street and Old Salem Road in Licking. Their hours are 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily, with kitchen hours from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Happy Hour is Monday through Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. For the daily lunch special or other information, call them at 573-889-7262.
