Licking Assembly of God hosted a special evening for many of the ladies in the area on Friday, July 31. Over 140 women attended a Ladies’ Night Out, and received nurturing spiritually, nutritionally and socially at the “Grace” themed event.
Delanie Rinne and Larissa Satterfield organized the event, supported by a group of women (and a few men) who pitched in to make the evening possible.

Delanie Rinne, left, and Larissa Satterfield drew for door prizes
and engaged the gathering in a relaxing and fun night out.
Satterfield, the Outreach Coordinator at Assembly of God, and Rinne greeted the crowd as they dined on a delicious meal of salad, pasta, green beans and rolls. Satterfield spoke about the “tough year” everyone has had, and how COVID-19 has shaken everyone’s confidence. She described the evening as “a chance to rest” and “restore your soul.”
Briana Malikowski, Katrina Kehn and Betty Jo Roberts entertained the diners with worship music, accompanied by Jeni Kehn at the piano. Jeni Kehn followed them with more beautiful singing.
The speaker for the evening was Pastor Beth Heath, of Endurance Church in West Plains, Mo. Heath likened 2020 to a “non-stop trust fall.” After asking about our confidence level in humans during this time, she reminded the gathering to put their confidence in God.
“People change, Jesus doesn’t,” she stated, adding that God is the only one in control.
Heath encouraged women to stop hiding from their mistakes, to go with confidence to God and accept his grace.
John 16:33 (NKJV) summed up her message well; “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

The evening ended with a surprise treat,
with attendees choosing from among shoes, clothing and jewelry.
The evening ended with a special surprise. A free shopping spree of Avon products – jewelry, clothes and shoes – awaited the attendees. Satterfield encouraged all to stop struggling with accepting grace for the evening, and enjoy choosing items from all areas. Most took her advice.
Women left the event relaxed and smiling, a true sign of the evening’s success.
