Obituary – Margie P. Copeland
Margie Pauline (Teal) Copeland, daughter of Aud and Ella M. Teal was born August 1, 1938, in Gideon Mo. She passed away October 31, 2020, at Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston Mo.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jeff, Aud Jr., Bill and Audie; sisters, Sarah and Wanda; her husband Leslie Copeland; son Leslie Copeland Jr.; daughters, Kathleen Johnson and Sharon Copeland; son-in-law Fred De Los-Santos; grandchildren, Eldon and Amy Johnson.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Kevin) Garland, St. Peters and Janet Copeland-De Los-Santos, St. Charles; brother James (Joyce) Teal, Marble Hill; her grandchildren, Tabitha (Nick) Blackburn, Nichole Bretz, Freddie (Tessa) De Los-Santos, Cody De Los-Santos, Michael (Patricia) Johnson, Josh (Morgan) Copeland, Matthew and Samantha Copeland; great grandchildren, Brandon, Gabriel, Elijah, Aidan, Brian, Nicholette, Erica and Eli; numerous nieces and nephews; one special nephew Bill Stokes; special friends, Billie Moore and Jimmy Prince; along with many friends.
Margie’s pride and joy besides her grandchildren were her great grandchildren. Her eyes would light up when she saw them. Even though she was 82, she still would play games, color, play dolls with Nicholette, and many other things. Margie loved her dog Blackie, her chickens, turkeys, ducks and geese, along with the cows she used to have.
Margie was a member of Faith, Hope and Love Church. She loved attending there, and fellowship with Pastor Carolyn and friends who loved her very much. Margie’s son-in-law, Fred, asked mom after her third child had passed away, how was she able to cope with the losses of her children, and mom’s reply, through my faith in God.
God has given Margie her last wish, she spent her last days at her home here in the country and now she is in her heavenly home.
