Salvation Army surpasses their goal in Licking

By Linda and David Roberts, Licking Coordinators

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you to the many kind people in Licking who volunteered from two to twenty-four hours manning the red kettle. Also, thank you to the numerous thoughtful people who gave generous donations.

Licking not only reached their Salvation Army Red Kettle drive goal of $6,000, but went above and beyond. Over $8,325 was collected, which surpassed our previous high received in 2014 of $7,710!

Many people in Texas County will benefit from this generosity by receiving assistance with rent, utilities, lodging, transportation, meals, etc.

We very much appreciated several volunteers who helped fill time slots to keep the kettle manned as much as possible. All donations whether large or small helped us reach our goal. We thank you.
