LIGHT THE NIGHT
The 8th Annual Light the Night Festival will be held 5 to 7 p.m. in downtown Licking on Saturday, October 30. This free event will be a trunk or treat.
HAUNTED LICKING MILL TOUR
An evening of Haunted Mill Tours and storytelling will be held at the historic Licking Mill on Saturday, October 30. Haunted Tours will run from 5 to 7 p.m. and local actors add to spooky storytelling at 7:30 p.m.
TURKEY TROT 5K
Houston will host the first Turkey Trot 5K with registration at 8 a.m./race at 9 a.m. at the Lone Star Plaza on Saturday, November 6. Proceeds benefit the Texas County Food Pantry. For more information contact Jodie Avery at 636-368-8156 or Shannon Jordan at 417-217-2736.
HOMECOMING 2021
Abounding Hope Baptist Church will host Homecoming 2021, celebrating 12 years of serving the Lord, seeking the lost and sharing the love, beginning at 10:30 a.m., at 112 West Hwy. 32, Licking, on Sunday November 7. Music provided by The Goulds and special guest speaker Bill Jetton. A fellowship meal will follow.

Tai Chi Classes for Health are held on Monday, 1 – 2 p.m., at the Texas County Museum of Art and History on Main St.

FREE ADDICTION RECOVERY CLASS

KIDZ CLUB

OZARK MOUNTAIN AMATEUR RADIO CLUB
The Ozark Mountain Amateur Radio Club meets the third Saturday of each month, at 12:00 noon at the Lone Star Annex, 114 W. Main St. in downtown Houston. Sherrill Township meets at 5:30 p.m. every other Thursday at the township shed located at 11875 South 137 in Licking. The next meeting is November 4.
LYNCH TOWNSHIP
Lynch Township’s meetings are the first Thursday of each month at 6 p.m., at the Lynch Township Shed, 14472 Boiling Springs Road.
BOONE TOWNSHIP MEETING
Boone Township meets the second Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m. Meeting is at the Township Shed, 16245 Highway AF, Licking.
TEXAS COUNTY TRANSPORTATION
Licking Bridge Builders has transportation available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. To ride the bus, please make your appointment at least a day in advance by calling 573-674-3558 and talking with a volunteer.
