Obituary – Terry G. Ross
Terry Gale Ross, age 75, of Newburg, passed from this life on May 20, 2023. He was born on March 3, 1948, to Everett Arthur Ross and Eugenia Fern (Woolsey) Ross, in St Louis, Mo. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Fern Ross; brother, Jack Howard; sister, Sheila Harper; nephew, Jack Howard Jr.; and his father and mother-in-law, Emil & Mattie Krafczik.
Terry is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Sue Ross; sons, David (Deanna) Ross, Chris (Jody) Ross, TJ (Lydia) Ross; daughters, Michelle (Andy) Pearson, Jamie (Cody) Manley; sister, Kathii Shelden; 20 grandchildren, Brittney, Cody, Bruce, Andrew, Zach, Tiffany, Joshua, Alicia, Jasmine, Lauren, Ryleigh, Erika, JD, Colton, Cali, Trevor, Lucas, Parker, Elijah, Hazel; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Terry graduated from Lafayette High School in Ballwin, Mo., in 1966. After high school, Terry went to work at the Mississippi Valley Steel company. In 1968, he was drafted into the United States Marine Corps and served a tour in Vietnam. Upon his return to the U.S., he met his wife, Jackie. They were married in 1970, settled in Hillsboro, Mo., and began their life together. In 1986, Terry and Jackie moved to the family farm in Duke, Mo. Terry worked 20 years on Fort Leonard Wood as a civil service employee.
Terry enjoyed deer and rabbit hunting, fishing, attending auctions with his sons, boating, going to the lake, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services for Terry were held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Ross Cemetery, 17575 State Route J, Duke, Mo., with visitation at 12 p.m. followed by the funeral at 2 p.m.
