Obituary – Bernice V. Schlichter
Bernice Vernell Schlichter, age 86, passed away May 30, 2023, in Edgar Springs, Mo. She was born October 23, 1936, in Montauk, Mo., to Hubert and Georgia Craig.
Bernice is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James Harris; her second husband, Orville Schlichter; one son, David Harris; and three brothers.
Survivors include her six children, Diana Graen, Donald Harris, Dwayne Harris, Debra Hinkson, Darrell Harris and Chester Schlichter; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Bernice loved the outdoors, and watching hummingbirds and other wildlife. She was known to be a talker and enjoyed talking on the phone with friends and family. Bernice will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation for Bernice took place on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home. A funeral service followed at 2 p.m. at Fox Funeral Home. Burial was at Mitchell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Bernice. Online condolences may be left at www.foxfh.net.
