The annual four-day Edgar Prairie Days celebration began Thursday with the Little Mr. and Miss Contest. This year’s Little Mr. was Flynn Sullins, and Little Miss was Tatum Drew, Little Tiny Mr. was Beau Humphrey and Little Tiny Miss was Emery McCann.

Friday evening, host Hooves & Boots had a fish special and offered karaoke, followed by fireworks.

The parade on Saturday morning brought several to line Main Street, with children gathering candy thrown by many in the lineup. Two-legged races, pie eating contests and other old-time games were featured Saturday afternoon, along with music by Elvis, Brody Light, the 399th Army Jazz Band, and in the evening, the Open Road Band performed. Nick’s Barnyard Buddies, sponsored by EXIT All American Realty, provided pony rides and a petting zoo Saturday afternoon, as well.

Sunday afternoon brought barbecue, singing and a cornhole tournament. Despite the threat of rain at times, the events continued and many had a good time celebrating the community and the history of Edgar Springs.
